Ted Sheely
Ted Sheely has more than 40 years of farming experience. Today he farms 8,700 acres in Kings County, Calif. in the heart of the San Joaquin Valley. He farms cotton, tomatoes, wheat, pistachios, garlic, wine grapes, safflower, barley and triticale. He has served in leadership roles in many agricultural groups including the Westlands Water District. He has been a pioneer in precision agriculture technology to increase production, efficiency and to improve crop quality. He received the 1999 High Cotton Award from the Cotton Foundation Farm and Farm Press and the University of Arizona 2006 Lifetime Achievement Award. He grew up in Arizona and received a Bachelor of Science degree from UA.
Zach Sheely
As the world’s most important industry continues to increase in complexity and productivity, technology is playing a critical role. I am passionate about finding, developing, integrating and implementing the key technologies that will enable growers, their advisors and service providers to drive agriculture into the future we know is possible. I believe that every technology must make economic sense for the business and provide a value for each user along the way.
Jake Sheely
Jake is the current farm manager at Azcal Management Co. When Jake is not running the farm, he enjoys spending time with his family and bowling.
Connor Kingman
Having the privilege of growing up on a ranch, Connor Kingman graduated UC Irvine in Mechanical Engineering and now applies engineering and automation principles to agriculture to reduce costs and improve productivity. His latest project is driverless orchard and vineyard tractors that can mow, disc, and air-blast spray 24 hours a day with minimal human supervision.
